LAHORE, March 14: Robbers shot at and injured three friends and looted 33-tola jewellery worth Rs1.8 million from three shops in the city on Wednesday.Four robbers looted Rs300,000 in cash and 33-tola gold ornaments from three jewellery shops -- Sarfraz Jewellers, Azam Jewellers and Kashif Jewellers -- in Qainchi Amar Sidhu in Kot Lakhpat police limits.

Shan, Awais and Raza were standing in a street near UET Lahore in Mughalpura police limits when two armed men approached them and snatched cash and cell phones. On resistance, the suspects injured them. During the course of time, the locals gathered on the spot, managed to capture the suspects and handed them over to the police after giving them a good thrash. Two of them were identified as Sunny and Faizan.

Three armed men barged in the house of Gulzar in Badami Bagh police limits and looted cash and valuables worth Rs1.4 million.
