NAWABSHAH, March 13: An 18-year-old girl admitted to the People's Medical Univer-sity Hospital due to burn injuries has accused her two younger brothers, aged between 13 and 15, of criminally assaulting her.

She told journalists at the hospital that she was sexually assaulted by her two brothers, accusing her mother and aunt of pressuring her not to utter a word about it. She said that in utter desperation she had tri-ed to commit self-immolation.

Her mother, who is looking after her at the hospital, said the girl was "mentally ill and is talking rubbish". She said her daughter received burn injuries while cooking food at home.

Dr. Mohammed Ali, a doctor at the hospital, said the girl was admitted with "20 per cent superficial burn inj-uries" and could be discha-rged soon.-Correspondent
