LAHORE, March 4: Jamhoori Watan Party leader Shazain Bugti demanded on Sunday trial of former president Pervez Musharraf in the Akbar Bugti murder case.

“The Baloch want action against Musharraf, the principal accused in the Bugti murder case,” the young Bugti said at a protest rally organised by the professionals of TECH, Alpha and PCSIR cooperative housing societies. The rally was taken out to express solidarity with the Balochistan people on Canal Bank Road (outside TECH Society).

He demanded that the government also punish those involved in the killing of Domki women of Balochistan in Karachi.

Former state minister Qayyum Nizami said the government should initiate dialogue with Baloch nationalists to resolve the Balochistan problems. He said the Baloch nationalists represented the real Balochistan.

TECH Society President Engineer Abdul Majeed Khan, Vice-President Zubair Sheikh, Alpha Society General Secretary Engineer Mansoor Ahmed, and PCSIR President Sajjad Hameed also spoke.

The participants, including women, chanted slogans against the government for taking no measure to address insurgency and unrest in Balochistan.

Carrying placards and banners, they said though the rulers seemed to be taking no interest in the matter, the nation would make every bid to foil conspiracies breeding in Balochistan.
