NAWABSHAH, Dec 24: The Anti-Terrorism Court of Nawabshah on Saturday awarded death sentence to three men and imprisonment to another in a kidnapping for ransom case.

Judge Syed Saghir Hussain Zaidi awarded death sentence to Mohammed Hassan Magsi, Ashiq Ali Khaskheli and Allah Dino Magsi and life imprisonment to Gul Sher Magsi after declaring them guilty in a kidnapping for ransom case.

The court also ordered each convict to pay Rs10,000 fine and three months’ additional imprisonment in case of non-payment of fine.

A man Shafiq Ahmed Arain was kidnapped by the above mentioned convicts on June 15, 2009 from Qazi Ahmed. The kidnappers demanded Rs2 million as ransom for his release. Police, later recovered the kidnapped man and arrested accused.
