CHITRAL: Cottage industry eulogized

CHITRAL, Nov 22: District Nazim Shahzada Mohyuddin has said that the locally woven coarse cloth, Shu, is second to none in its quality and its marketing has enormous capacity to provide employment to a large number of people and making the farmers prosperous.

Speaking on the occasion of the inaugural ceremony of the new offices of the Shubinak, the organization promoting the Chitrali Patti here the other day, he eulogised its efforts in the promotion of the cottage industry of Chitral.

He said that the district government was making all effort to alleviate unemployment, and the promotion of Chitrali patti would best serve the purpose as it had high demand not only within the country but also abroad.

The district nazim also announced to allocate funds for scientific study for the promotion of the industry.
