THE District Headquarters Hospital, Turbat, the biggest hospital of Mekhran division, plays a key role in the division since it seems relatively improved and better in comparison to other hospitals present in the division.

Specialists are available in almost all the departments.

An average of between 800 and 1,000 patients visit the hospital every day, including those living in the suburbs of the Turbat city.

In spite of all this, the District Headquarters Hospital lacks some fundamental requirements and faces some major problems which become a massive obstacle for doctors to run it efficiently.

There is a lack of paramedical staff for performing various chores during the morning, evening and night shifts, which are at present being performed by a single shift.

There are no qualified members for the urology department. Ironically, the scarcity of accessory kits and chemicals is another issue. There seems to be inefficiency of management where cleanliness and proper disposal of hospital garbage is concerned.

The government should take care of all these problems as soon as possible so that the District Headquarters Hospital in Turbat starts running smoothly.
