DERA ISMAIL KHAN/TANK, Nov 13: Three people, two among them real brothers, were killed and two others suffered injuries when two groups clashed in Paharpur tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday over a petty issue.

Police said that two neighbouring families clashed in Maavia Nagar Mohallah of Paharpur over the ownership of pigeons. The members of both the families exchanged fire with each other that left five persons injured. The injured were taken to civil hospital of Dera Ismail Khan, where three of succumbed to their injuries.

Two of the dead, Bilal and Amer, were real brothers while the third victim identified as Asif belonged to their rival group. The two injured -- Asif and Hamid -- were stated to be in a stable condition.

Both the groups had exchanged harsh words over the issue a couple of days ago, but later the issue was resolved.

In Tank district, two persons were killed and another was seriously injured when their rivals opened indiscriminate firing on them during a wedding ceremony in Shadikhel village on Sunday.

Police said that the victims identified as Sohrab Khan and Syed Raza were present in the wedding ceremony when their rivals Ikramullah, Abdul Latif and Omar Marwat opened firing on them. Both of them were killed on the spot. The attackers managed to escape after the incident.

The injured man, whose name could not be ascertained, was shifted to a hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.
