KARACHI, Oct 28: A local courier service company van carrying Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) documents and mark-sheets of candidates of intermediate (private) annual examinations-2011 was intercepted and looted at gunpoint on Friday.

According to a BIEK press release issued on Friday, the courier service which had been assigned the task of delivering the mark-sheets of private candidates of intermediate examinations to their houses informed board officials that the mark-sheets along with documents of other offices which were being carried by their van had been snatched at gunpoint. The courier service officials had lodged a report of the incident with the police station concerned and a copy of the FIR had been provided to the board, the press release added. —Staff Reporter
