LAHORE: An 18-member Pakistan junior hockey squad has been announced for five-Test series against Egypt, to be held in Cairo from Aug 6 to 12.

The squad was announced after trials at the National Hockey Stadium on Thursday and Friday.

The squad will depart for Cairo on August 4.

Chief selector, Abdul Hanif Khan, after getting the approval of PHF president Qasim Zia announced the following squad:

Squad:

Goalkeeper: Mazhar Abbas.

Fullbacks: Mohammad Khalid, Aleem Bilal, Mohammad Mushtaq, Waseem Abbas.

Halfbacks: Kashif Javed, Mohammad Rizwan (vice-captain), Tasawwar Abbas, Mohammad Suleman, Zohaib Ashraf.

Forwards: Mohammad Irfan, Umar Bhutta (captain), Arsalan Qadir, Ali Shan, Adnan Anwar, Rana Umair, Mohammad Dilber, Ahmed Zubair.

Officials: Rana Mujahid Ali (manager / head coach); Danish Kaleem and Anjum Saeed (coaches); Asad Abbas Shah (doctor).
