LAHORE, May 16: The Garden Town police on Monday interrogated the husband of a 35-year-old woman, who was found murdered along with another woman at her beauty salon on Sunday, and his brother for their alleged involvement in the double murder with achieving no breakthrough so far.

Khadeeja Nazim and Ambreen, 25, were found dead with their throats slit open at Nazim Beauty Saloon in Barket Market on Sunday.

A case was registered against Nazim and his unidentified accomplices on the complaint of Khadeeja's brother Muhammad Nazir.

An interrogator told Dawn that Khadeeja's husband Nazim and his brother Saleem were under investigation but the police had not found any clue to solve the double murder. He said bodies of the women had been handed over to their heirs after autopsies. AUTOPSY:

The Iqbal Town police handed over the body of stage actor Anjuman Shahzadi, who was admitted to Jinnah Hospital in precarious condition on Sunday morning, to her heirs after autopsy on Monday. A case will formally be registered in the light of autopsy report.A police official said the 35-year-old woman was initially diagnosed with pulmonary edema (water in lungs) and high blood alcohol content.
