KARACHI, May 10: A grenade attack in Lyari on Tuesday evening left one man injured and caused panic and scare in the locality, police said.

They said some armed men on motorbikes were seen speeding away from the scene seconds after the hand-grenade exploded in an open plot near Hasht Chowk within the remit of the Kalakot police station.

“The injured man was in fact watchman on a property,” said SP Javed Baloch of Lyari Town. “The injuries to him are not very serious but definitely it was an attempt to harass people and maybe a message to the owner of the property.”— Staff Reporter
