Water shortage

ISLAMABAD, May 4: The residents of Bhara Kahu are facing acute water shortage for the last many days.

Faisal Khan, a resident of New Abadi, said he was not receiving water regularly and had registered a complaint in this regard but nobody was taking it seriously.

“We have not been getting water for three days and the officials concerned say they do not have any water tanker at the moment,” he added.

He said the shortage of water had made his family’s life miserable.

He complained that illegal water connections were a major cause of the water shortage, as they pumped most of the water. He said the people had also installed suction motors in their houses to fill their tanks.

He said the officials concerned were aware of the problem but were paying no heed. — APP
