CD shop blown up

PESHAWAR, March 12: Suspected militants blew up a CD shop at main bazaar of Badhber on the suburbs of Peshawar in the small hours of Saturday, police said.

An official of Bomb Disposal Unit said that a local made explosive device, packed in a ghee canister, was planted at a wall of the shop. The time device went off at about 2am and destroyed the shop, he added. An official of Badhber police station told Dawn that the shop was located near a mosque, known as Spin Jumaat. It was destroyed completely in the ballast, he said. He added that police started search in the area but so far no one was arrested. —Bureau Report
