GUJRANWALA: Four low intensity bomb explosions rocked Gujranwala on Wednesday, television reports said.

The first two explosions took place near the CIA centre building in the city’s People’s Colony area while the third blast occurred near the SP Special Branch office. The fourth blast took place inside a police rest house.

According to one report, another bomb planted outside the CIA centre building was diffused.

Buildings received minor damages but no loss of life was reported in the explosions, police said.

Bomb disposal squads had arrived in the area and were ascertaining the nature of the blasts.

Police subsequently launched a search operation in the city and arrested 10 suspects.
