KARACHI: The Pakistan-Iran bilateral snooker series will now be played from March 9-16 instead of March 2-9 at Tehran, the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) said on Tuesday.

“I have acceded to the request of my Iranian counterpart,” the PBSA president Alamgir Shaikh said.

He said the change in schedule was necessitated as some players of the host country will be busy in their examinations.

A three-member Pakistan team to be accompanied by a delegate will travel to Tehran next month and play host to them in the return series sometime next year, he added.

The PBSA chief said all the expenses including return air fare will be borne by the hosts besides providing accommodation. The series did not carry any prize money.—Sports Correspondent
