KARACHI, Jan 19: Four senior players including three former national champions stormed into knockout pre quarter-finals of the Sindh Snooker Cup at Snooker Zone on Wednesday.

Veteran Mohammad Yousuf rounded off his league matches handing 4-2 defeat to Danish Beg the scores being 116-12, 46-50, 44-16, 15-77, 77-50, 93-6.

Khurram Agha, a former Pakistan No 1, blanked Sunny Shahani 4-0 68-17, 81-73, 84-28, 68-14.

Naveen Perwani conceded a frame while getting the better of Faisal Kashmiri 4-1. He was home 56-28, 9-67, 60-37, 87-38, 81-0.

Vishan Gir hammered highest century break of the event 122 in the last frame while routing S. M. Ali Zaidi 62-42, 63-7, 94-17, 122-17.

The 16 who have made it to the knockout stage were Khurram Agha, Naveen Perwani, Mohammad Yousuf, Vishan Gir, Mohammad Ishtiaq, Javed Ansari, Mohammad Akmal, Kashif Khan, Shadab Beg, Farrukh Usman, Anil John, Faisal Kashmiri, Mohammad Zulfiqar, Najam-ur-Rehman, Abdul Samad and S. M. Ali Zaidi.
