LARKANA, Jan 11: The son of a grain trader was kidnapped from his shop in Badah late Monday evening.

After identifying the gang of kidnappers, police on Tuesday raided Doso Mugheri village in the Nasirabad area and arrested four persons in connection with the kidnapping of Jaipal, the son of grain trader Sobhraj.

The DPO of Larkana Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh told Dawn that the gang of bandit Papooo Mugheri was involved in the kidnapping and four persons, whose names he did not reveal, had been picked up to mount pressure on the kidnappers.

He said the car used in the crime was recovered from the village. He said foot trackers and sniffer dogs had led to the village where the kidnapers had stayed after committing the crime.

The DPO expressed the hope that the kidnap victim would be recovered soon.
