Shanghai overtook Singapore as the world's busiest container port in 2010, helped by continuing growth in Chinese trade and the business generated by the World Expo it hosted last year. While elsewhere in China, auto sales have hit an all-time record, securing China's position as the world's top market. But sales may turn south, especially in the first few months of this year, after Beijing scrapped policy incentives for small cars as well as handouts for mini vehicles.
