LAHORE, Jan 4: A man allegedly shot at and injured three others over a petty issue in Badami Bagh on Tuesday. The police said Jamil, a police constable, was enjoying the company of his friends Shahzad Butt, Saqib Ali and Qadir near Sabzi Mandi when he got furious over a minor issue. He later shot at his friends and fled.

The Rescue-1122 shifted the injured to a hospital and the police registered a case against Jamil.

MURDERED: A man and a woman were found murdered on Tuesday.

Maqsood Ahmad, a retired employee of a sensitive department, was found strangled in a hotel room in New Anarkali under mysterious circumstances.

The hotel management informed the police on which they shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy and registered a case against unidentified person (s).

Anwar Bibi, a midwife of Jalal Park, was also found strangled at a deserted place in South Cantonment.

The police said that she had left her residence after receiving a call from an anonymous man to attend a delivery case. Later, she was found murdered, the police said adding that a case had been registered on the complaint of her husband Shaukat Ali.

The body was sent for an autopsy.
