FAISALABAD, Aug 31: Boys ruled the roost in the intermediate examination result announced here on Saturday.
At least 32,767 candidates appeared in the examination. Of those, some 17,270 were declared successful with 57.17 per cent.
The top three positions were bagged by boys of the Faran Model College, Jhang. Zaib Ali (Roll No 38136) secured first position by obtaining 953 marks, Hasnain Sadiq (Roll No 38134) clinched second position with 945 marks and Muhammad Umair Naseer (Roll No 34639) was declared third with 938 marks.
PRE-MEDICAL GROUP: Amina Ghaffar and Rida Khalid shared first position with 937 marks each, Muhammad Usman of the Chenab College, Jhang, notched second position with 931 marks, and Madeeha Hafeez got third position scoring 923.
PRE-ENGINEERING GROUP: The top two position holders were from this group. Zaib Ali was declared first, Hasnain Sadiq second and Dawood Ghafoor third with 937 marks.
COMMERCE GROUP: Faisal Khalid clinched first position by obtaining 840 marks, Muhammad Adnan second with 838 marks and Muhammad Suleman was declared third with 829 marks.
ARTS GROUP: In arts group, Muhammad Umair Naseer, who scored 938 marks, was declared first, Saleem Shahzad Husain clinched second position with 933 marks and Bushra Zameer bagged third position with 916 marks.
