LARKANA, June 29 A high court lawyer and his father were shot dead here on Monday night.

Advocate Muneer Khichi, who was a former civil judge, and his father Zawar Manzoor Khichi were sitting in their office in Khichi mohalla when two armed men opened fire on them.

They were immediately taken to the Chandka Medical College Hospital, but both died.

The police arrested four suspects in the double murder.

Sources said the murders were linked to the kidnapping of Laila Mangi, a student of eighth class of the Government High School.

The girl was allegedly kidnapped by a driver, Alam Lashari.

The district bar association called for a boycott of courts on Tuesday in protest against the lawyer's killing.
