KARACHI, June 26 The National Seniors Tennis Championship commenced at the Karachi Club on Friday with veterans showing their glimpse of yesteryears.

At the time of filing this report, third seed Syed Qutub was up against Fayyaz Ahmed in the 40 plus singles opening tie. Zulfiqar Hakeem has been seeded on top followed by Ejaz Sarhadi in the category. The latter won the 35 plus singles title at Quetta last year.

According to draws, the pair of Zahid Hussain and Akbar Hayat Khan tops seeding in 50 plus doubles. They are followed by the duo of Altaf Hussain and Idris Kodvavi.
