ISLAMABAD, May 11 The Islamabad High Court on Monday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to speed up eradication of paper mulberry trees to mitigate pollen allergy.

Justice Mohammad Amjad Iqbal Qureshi issued the directive in a petition filed by a citizen which said pollen allergy caused by the trees had made the life of the common man miserable.

Sardar Alam in his petition stated that around 80,000 people in the twin cities suffered from pollen allergy every year and many of them even left the cities during the season.
