KHAIRPUR, March 13 An under-trial prisoner was found dead in his barrack in the Khairpur Central Jail on Friday morning and the prisoners blamed lack of treatment for his sudden death.

Reports said that when the barracks were opened in the morning, Mushtaque Memon was found dead and for some time the prisoners refused to hand over his body to jail administration in protest.

Later, the body was handed over to jail administration, which was received by Memon`s relatives.

Jail Superintendent Nasir Khan denied reports of prisoners protest and said that the prisoner was sent to Civil Hospital for medical check-up and treatment as advised by the jail doctor a few days ago.
