Dadu sizzles at 52°C

DADU, June 8: Two people died and 32 others fell unconscious in Sehwan, Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar, and Dadu talukas due to the sizzling heat in the district. Most of the victims were minor children and aged persons.

The people of Dadu district experienced the hottest day of the season on Saturday as the mercury shot up to 52 degrees Celsius.

Those died were identified as Anwar alias Anoo, 63, resident of Haleby village, and Mohammad Juman Chandio, 40, resident of Sita. The severe heat also affected business and transport in the district.
