PPP rejects polls sans Benazir

NAUSHAHARO FEROZE, Feb 8: Sindh PPP president Nisar Ahmed Khuro has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party will not accept the national and provincial assembly elections without Benazir.

While talking to party workers here on Friday, he demanded the safe return of Benazir Bhutto to the country.

He advised the workers to go from village to village and convince the people to vote for PPP in the coming elections to elect Benazir Bhutto as prime minister for third time.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, coordinator, Sindh PPP, said that the army should go on borders and should not rule the people.

He condemned the suggestion for creating 26 provinces in the country.

Syed Khursheed Ali Shah rejected the condition of B.A for the national assembly candidates and observed that most of the leaders who fought for the independence of the country were not graduate.

Mula Bux Chandio said that condition of B.A for the national assembly members was only to keep farmers and labourers away from the assembly.

DRIVER KILLED: One person was died in an accident near Halani taulka, Kandiaro, on late Thursday night.

A truck (HK-4755), full with wheat bags, over turned when its tie rod broke, as a result Tariq, driver of truck (JD-1434), standing nearby, came under the wheat bags and died on the spot.
