GUJRANWALA, Nov 10: Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesday visited the residence of former advisor to prime minister Rana Nazir Ahmad Khan in Kamoke and offered condolences on the death of his mother.

The chief minister also offered fateha for the deceased. Local legislators were also present on the occasion.

Later, he paid a surprise visit to a police station and a government school in Wahando and checked the attendance in both the offices. The chief minister scolded a sub-inspector on his poor performance.

RESOLUTION: The Gujranwala district Bar Association has demanded the arrest of all the accused involved in the Sialkot jail incident.

The demand was made through a resolution in a meeting here on Wednesday which was presided over by Saifullah Cheema.

The meeting threatened to stage a protest demonstration in front of higher police offices if the accused police officials were not arrested.
