SWABI, Nov 6: A young boy, who was missing for the past 40 days, was found dead in a hilly area near Maini. A police official told Dawn on Saturday that they recovered the dead body some part of which had been mutilated by wild animals , adding that his parents had identified him because his face was intact.

He was identified as Khalid Khan and is said to have quarrelled with his parents and had run away from home.

The boy's parents said they had no enmity with any one and they did not it was not immediately known who had killed their son.

CHARAS SEIZED: Police seized 25-kg charas being smuggled to Punjab and arrested two Afghans near a roadblock on the Topi-Ghazi road. The drugs were recovered from a car (KT 4235).

The police seized the car and arrested Mahmood Khan and Baryalay, Afghans but presently living in Hayatabad in Peshawar.

Meanwhile, the Topi police is said to have arrested 38 proclaimed offenders and recovered 12 Kalashnikov, 37 single-barrel guns, 107 pistols and 1,143 cartridges of different bores.
