SIALKOT, Nov 3: A youth sustained serious burn wounds while different chemicals, paints and other valuables worth over Rs10 million gutted when fire broke out in a chemical store due to short circuit in Karimpura Road locality here on Wednesday.

Danish (25), the son of trader Haji Muhammad Afzal, was inside the chemical store when the fire erupted suddenly. The area people and nearby shopkeepers rescued the other people. The injured youth was admitted to Kharian CMH in critical condition. The fire fighters extinguished the fire after hectic efforts of three hours. The fire also damaged roofs of several neighbouring shops. Police are looking into the matter.

CASE: Daska Jamaat Ahle Sunnat amir Maulana Muhammad Fazal Sabiri and printing press owner Shahid Ali Mughal were booked on Wednesday for printing objectionable posters.

Police arrested both the accused and sent them behind the bars. Further investigation is under way.

Meanwhile, the Jamaat Ahle Sunnat strongly condemned the police action and demanded immediate release of the arrested persons.
