MULTAN, Jan 17: Death toll rose to five in toxic liquor case when a man died at the Nishtar Hospital on Monday, said Deputy Medical Superintendent (emergency) Dr Imran Rafiq.

Zahoor Ahmad died a few hours after he was brought to the hospital on Monday with a complaint of blindness and other complications. Kazim Ali, 40, of Rangpur, Muzaffargarh; Rabnawaz and Arshad Khan, 35, both of Multan, died on Sunday, while Jamshed, 22, had died on Saturday, said the doctor.

The doctor said Altaf Masih was in stable condition, while two others, Amjad of Bahar Chowk and Nadeem of Hafiz Jamal Road have been discharged. -APP
