HYDERABAD, Jan 11: Three councillors of the Qasimabad taluka have supported the formation of city government in Hyderabad, claiming only the vested interests are opposing the move.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Tuesday, Sattar Soomro and Kazim Keerio of the UC-3 and Irfan Mallah of the UC-2 said the taluka which housed many villages had turned into a Moenjodaro.

They said the government had neglected 80 per cent of the areas and completed 20 per cent schemes in there own areas. They argued if the city government was formed, the villages would be provided basic facilities.

When asked that there were 84 councillors in Qasimabad taluka but only three councillors were supporting the city government, they claimed that they also enjoyed the support of 15 other councillors.
