GUJRANWALA, Dec 6: Two labourers were killed and another sustained injuries in a bomb explosion in a furnace here on Monday. Khadim Husain, Nadeem and Sada Khan were at work in the scrap furnace when the bomb exploded.

The former two died on the spot while the latter received injuries. He was rushed to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition. The deceased were the residents of Muridke and Narowal, respectively.

SIT-IN: Wagon owners staged a sit-in in front of the DCO office to protest against the manhandling of one of their colleagues by the General Bus Stand administration here on Monday.

It was reported that the muscelemen of the GBS administration asked a Hafizabad-bound wagon owner to pay the money. On his refusal, they beat the wagon owner. The protesters demanded of the authorities concerned to take stern action against the extortionists.
