ABBOTTABAD, Sept 30: Samar Waqar and Sidra Mehtab were awarded best drama artistes in English and Urdu in the Army Burn Hall College here on Wednesday evening. The college's Dramatic Society had organized the competition for students.

The Commandant of the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Burn Hall Institutions, Maj-Gen Hamid Nawaz, was the chief guests and distributed prizes among the participants.

English play 'Who let the death out', written by college teacher Atiya Najeeb Khan, was performed by Saima Maqsood, Muneba Maroub, Noor Turk, Samar Waqar, Sahira Mehmood Raja and Sufia Tariq.

Urdu play, written by famous writer Bano Qudsiya, was performed, among others, by Sadaf Ali, Sidra Mehtab, Sadaf Asghar, Serresh Shamrooz, Sehar Kiyani, Zara Swati, Rabia Seemab and Ayesha Yousaf. The chief guest lauded the role of college dramatic club, and said that such healthy activities were necessary for mind.
