SWABI: Four killed in Swabi

SWABI, Sept 12: Four people were killed and three injured in separate incidents in the district during the past 24 hours. In Kalabat, a land dispute claimed the life of Mohammad Islam and his nephew was seriously injured on Sunday. The deceased was grazing goats in the fields with his nephew.

The deceased's father has lodged an FIR against his own brother Shahzad and his sons. In Yar Hussain area, a trader, Abid Ali, and his servant, Saeed Khan were killed by robbers while they were travelling on Bakakhel road. An FIR has been registered.

The Chhota Lahor police recovered a corpse from the Jalbai area and sent the body to the Tordher area for identification. Police said the deceased's age appeared to be about 30 years.

Police conjectured that he was killed because of indiscriminate firing at close range, adding that his facial features were completely destroyed. In Yaqubi area, a young man, Nisar Mohammad, opened fire on his step-sister and seriously injured her over a land dispute.

In another incident, Nazir Khan was seriously injured when parts of his body, including face, was burnt. He was repairing of a machine. Mr Khan had not regained consciousness till the filing of this report.
