GUJRANWALA, July 13: The City Tehsil Council on Tuesday issued final notices to the owners of 250 rundown buildings in the city.

At a meeting held here on Tuesday presided over by City Nazim Babu Javed Ahmad, town planning officer Wahid Butt said that owners had been directed to get repaired their buildings before monsoon.

But they did not take notice of the repeated warnings. Now through final notices they were directed to get repaired their buildings otherwise these rundown buildings would be demolished by the city council.

POS: The Anti-Terrorism Court No 2 declared 10 accused involved in the murder of 19 people in Madina Syedan village, Gujrat, as proclaimed offenders. The judge directed the police to produce them before court on next hearing after their arrest.

Judge Mirza Rafiuz Zaman charge sheeted seven accused who were already arrested by the police. The prosecution apprised the court that accused Ajmal Abbas, Islam Ali, Kazim Ali, Fazeelat Shah, Rizwan Ijaz, Wasim Shah, Faiz Abbas, Hasan Ijaz, Irtaqa Haider and Sajjad Raza could not be arrested. After declaring them as POs, the judge issued their arrest warrants.

KILLED: A woman was killed while half a dozen others sustained serious injuries in collision between a wagon and a truck on the GT Road near Sadhoki on Tuesday. The wagon was on its way to Sialkot from Lahore.

Near Ghania village, it collided head-on with the truck coming from opposite side. Irshad Bibi of Lahore died instantly while her sister Sughran Bibi and other passengers sustained injuries. They were rushed to the local DHQ Hospital where the condition of Yamin, Akram Khan and Hamida Bibi was stated to be serious.
