KHAIRPUR, May 11: One person was killed in a clash between two groups of bandits in the kutcha area, Ahmad Bux police station jurisdiction, here on Tuesday evening.

A bandit, Ali Gul Narejo, and his group members were hiding in a house in the area when the group of Asghar Narejo surrounded the house and opened fire on them. They also fired rockets on the house which caught fire.

A burnt body was recovered from the house. However, it could not be ascertained whether the body was of a bandit or some other person. Some reports also said that two bodies were recovered from the house.

Police have declined to give information about the incident. A fire brigade was sent to extinguish the fire. The clash is said to be the result of an old enmity between the two groups. Ali Gul had earlier killed two nephews of Asghar.
