Published April 6, 2004

KHAIRPUR, April 5: Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) MNA Javed Ali Shah has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of the Khairpur Civil Hospital and said that he will inform higher authorities about complaints of patients.

During a visit to the hospital here on Sunday, the MNA found doctors absent from their duties. The patients told him that they had to buy medicines from outside because they did not get any medicine from the hospital.

They also complained that doctors did not attend patients regularly. Meanwhile, MNA Jilani said he would join the protest of the Khairpur Shehri Ittehad against the Khairpur taluka council if encroachments were not removed in the city and measures for sanitation and cleanliness were not taken in 15 days. Talking to a delegation of the Ittehad, he said people faced hardships due to encroachments.
