HYDERABAD, Feb 19: A spokesman for Malik Asad Sikandar, the District Nazim of Jamshoro, has refuted allegations leveled by the All Parties Action Committee, Kotri, at a press conference on Tuesday that his brother has forcibly occupied a plot being used as a graveyard in Khuda Ki Basti.

A statement faxed to Dawn, taking exception to a story published in Wednesday’s Dawn, said the plot was purchased from Mohammad Khan Shoro after completing legal formalities.

The spokesman said Malik Sikandar and his family “reserve the right to proceed against the accusers,” adding that the Malik family had ceded a good portion of its land to provide accommodation to the poor and it “cannot even think of taking over the possession of any land by force”.

BISE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, will hold a ceremony on Feb 28 at the Public School Hyderabad for awarding medals to position holders of SSC/HSC and Oriental Language Examinations.
