SARGODHA, Dec 3: All is set to accord a warm welcome to (deposed) chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on his arrival here on Thursday (today). He will address the District Bar Association.

Lawyers, traders, political and civil society activists will receive Justice Chaudhry at Bhera Interchange at 2pm. His motorcade will proceed towards Sargodha via Salam Interchange, Bhalwal.

The route has been decorated with banners inscribed with welcome slogans for Justice Chaudhry.

Meanwhile, students of a law college brought out a torch-bearer procession on Wednesday to express solidarity with lawyers.

Police have made security arrangements in consultation with the District Bar Association. The Jamaat-i-Islami has announced a camel procession, while Bhalwal residents have arranged horse dances to welcome the deposed chief justice.
