HYDERABAD, Sept 15: District Nazim Secretariat in a statement issued here on Monday categorically denied that any teachers association or the staff of Education Department had approached the District Nazim Hyderabad, Kanwar Naveed Jamil during last three years for promotion.

It said that Kanwar Naveed Jamil, also chairman of Departmental Promotion Committee, had received some files for promotion only last week and after scrutiny, it was decided to display the seniority list of teachers and staff at the offices of EDO Education, DCO and District Nazim’s Secretariat to ensure that injustice was done to all.

It said that if anyone had an objection on seniority list, he should approach the EDO Education office latest by September 20 and can even contact the District Nazim Secretariat. The statement said that the seniority list of 729 teachers and staff had been prepared out of which 112 will be granted promotion on merit.

It said that if objections were not received, the process will be completed before Eidul Fitr. The district nazim directed the Education Department to prepare a permanent seniority list of teachers and staff to avoid irregularity in future promotions.
