DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 23: Heavy rains and storms uprooted two pylons of the main 132 KV transmission line on Tank Road on Thursday night, suspending power supply to various parts of the district.

Power supply to Pezo, Jandola, and South Waziristan remained suspended till filing of this report on Friday night, affecting daily life of the people and work in the government departments.

The affected residents of the area took to the streets and protested against the authorities for their failure to restore the supply of electricity.— Correspondent
