KHAIRPUR: Two men kidnapped

KHAIRPUR, May 10: Two people were kidnapped and then freed in separate incidents on Friday.

Reports said eight armed men attacked Mubarak Chakrani village and kidnapped a villager Jalal Chakrani. Villagers and relatives immediately informed the area police which after following the footsteps surrounded abductors some 8km away from the village. Police opened fire which was retaliated by them. They freed after hitting the man with axes and sticks who was admitted to Faiz Ganj. In another incident, Azam Mirjat was kidnapped by armed men who threw him on the road in an unconscious state after torture.—Correspondent
