HYDERABAD, April 27: An 80-member delegation of teachers and students of the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Karachi, paid a visit to the University of Sindh on Saturday.

The delegation was led by chairman of the Mass Communication department, Tousif Ahmed Khan, and comprised senior faculty members.

The delegation visited printing and electronic laboratories and watched the ongoing work on an FM radio station and a mini TV station of the department of Mass Communication.

The delegation also visited the research library of the Institute of Sindhology, galleries of prominent personalities, museum, music gallery, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto gallery, preservation sections of newspapers and periodicals and books at the Institute of Sindhology.

They visited the Allama I.I.Kazi library, digital library, Internet centre, reference section and old manuscript sections of the library.

Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui in a meeting with the delegation welcomed them at the campus.

He said that with academic visits of teachers and students of universities, they are learning academic ideas and enhancing their knowledge.

He said that academic linkage programme would soon be initiated between the University of Sindh and Federal Urdu University Karachi.

Two documentaries prepared by Sindh University students on the ruler of Sindh, Ghulam Shah Kalhoro and bangle industry were shown to the students and teachers of the delegation.
