MIRPURKHAS, March 30: Scores of people of Meo community blocked the Jhillori-Mir Khalid-ji-Landhi road here on Sunday in protest against the failure of police to arrest the accused in Surjit Meo murder case.

They were carrying banners and placards and demanding of the Sindh IG police to take immediate notice and arrest the accused Dhani Kolhi, Dhero Kolhi, Roopchand Kolhi and Shevji Kolhi.

The traffic remained stopped due to the protest.

The protesters alleged that investigation officer Sabir Kaimkhani was impartial and not arresting the accused.

Safedo Meo, father of deceased, claimed that his son was killed by the accused and police were not arresting them.

He said they buried Surjit in a poultry farm after the murder.
