ISLAMABAD, March 5: Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfikar Ali Magsi met President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday and discussed with him the political situation in the province.

The president congratulated Mr Magsi on assuming his new responsibilities as governor and hoped that he would work for the development and socio-economic uplift of the people of the province.

The governor thanked the president for reposing confidence in him and assured him that he would do all in his power to come up to the expectations of the people.

The governor is said to have briefed the president about the formation of the new provincial government in Balochistan.
