KHAIRPUR, Feb 21: A caravan of thousands of PPP activists, including females left for Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto from Jilani House on Thursday to pay tributes to Benazir Bhutto.

There were 300 vehicles, led by former District Nazim Nafisa Shah.

Nafisa Shah said they were going to pay tributes to Benazir Bhutto for PPP’s victory in general elections. She said the PPP candidates succeeded in elections despite massive rigging as district governments, administrations, police openly supported the PPP opponents.

She added the PPP won elections in a war like situation. She said the PPP’s winning candidates will make efforts to realise Benazir Bhutto’s programme of ‘roti, kapra aur makaan’.—BoC
