NAWABSHAH, Jan 1: Nawabshah district, like other parts of the province, remained in grip of a cold wave and the mercury fell below the freezing point on Tuesday.

The local Met Office recorded the minimum temperature at minus 1.5 degrees Celsius.

An official told Dawn that cold winds blowing from the northwest had lowered the temperature below freezing point and warned that it might drop further in a couple of days.—Correspondent
