NAWABSHAH, Oct 26: Nawabshah Police on Friday booked nine persons, including seven policemen on the directives of District and Session Judge for torturing a citizen.

Mohammed Anwar Bhatti of Taj Colony Nawabshah got the FIR registered under sections 220, 382 and 504 PPC at the A-Section Police Station against ASI Allah Bux Bhatti of Sanghar Police Station, his father Lashkar Ali, his brother Anwar Ali, ASI Mohammed Azam of Shahdadpur Police Station, and five unidentified policemen.

He stated that his daughter Ms Naheed Akhtar was married to Allah Bux Bhatti some 12 years back but was divorced in 1998.

He stated that on July 16, Allah Bux Bhatti and other accused barged into his house, and after torturing and looting household items, including gold took him to Shahdadpur Police Station. He said the accused lodged a fake FIR against him. He was released after obtaining bail from a court.

Condolence: District Nazim Nawabshah Ms Faryal Talpur visited the residence of Karachi blast victims and offered condolence with their families on Friday.

District Naib Nazim, Abdul Haq Jamali, MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio, PPP City President Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar and others accompanied her.
