ABBOTTABAD, Oct 1: No action has yet been taken in Friday’s food poisoning case at the Abbottabad Public School and College, it is learnt.

At least 150 students fell to food poisoning at Sehri time on Friday. Around 70 students were discharged from a private hospital after treatment. The college is being run and supervised by the NWFP government. No inquiry committee was appointed either by the provincial education department or the college administration to determine the cause of the incident.

Sources said the college administration had passed new orders but even then cooked meals are frozen and served to students next day. The practice in the past had caused gastroenteritis to many students. Parents of the students complained that no strict action was taken after the incident.
