SWABI, Sept 1: Power supply to many parts of the Topi tehsil remained suspended for six hours on Saturday, badly affecting business and trade activities there.

Traders complained of difficulties in running their business smoothly because of the situation.

Consumers and local people said that prolonged loadshedding had become a routine matter and whenever officials concerned were contacted to draw their attention to the problem, they had a stereotype reply: “A fault has occurred and the staff is busy in removing it.”

Local people said the staff of the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company had been resorting to loadshedding to cover up line losses.
